ABOUT ME

H E L L O!

I'M J O N A

A simple girl from the suburbs. I live in the sunny Southern California so you will always find me at the beach. I'm an immigrant from the Philippines. I moved to the United States on my own to be with the love of my life, Francis. We now have a humble home together with our chubby little corgi, Luna and our cactus cat, Lilo. My perfect day includes the sound of the waves, birds, Hawaiian food, chasing my dog at the beach, finishing my artworks, recording videos and taking pictures.

I'm a self taught photographer. I taught myself how to use a camera and how to process photos. Growing up, I always get lost in beautiful photographs and I swore to myself to someday be able to learn to capture images and to make people feel through them. Art has always been my passion and photography became an extension of my artistic expressions.

Art is my escape. When the world around me gets chaotic, I create. I always find myself creating something. I love trying new mediums as a way for me to find my niche. Sticking to just one niche is my weakness because I do not like the feeling of being limited.

I was always that girl with deep thoughts. I had journals growing up. I put my identity in everything that I do. In my arts, photography, poetry and writings, you will find pieces of me.

When I'm not an artist, you'll find me in my scrubs. I'm a nurse by profession. Being in this field is teaching me so much about human psychology, emotions, and it actually opened my eyes to find what I truly want in life. I want to live with no regrets. I don't want my passions and my talents to go to waste. I want to share who I am, what I can do, and my creations to the world.

I want to be able to express myself and at the same time live the simple life that I want.

My goal is to be free. All I want is to create. Come create with me.
